Cold gray skies and a strong chance of gloomy rain. Figures. That seems like a fitting forecast for this particular Monday.
I was reminded again by Aidan this morning that today is a sad day. It seems that he studied Martin Luther King in school last week, and I was very moved by the profound innocence of his words. "Dad, how can one person think that he is better than another just because his skin is a different color?" "Didn't that guy who shot Martin Luther King listen to his dream speech?"
Now I will not begin to tell you that Aidan understands the intricate details of a divided society. Hell, I am not pretentious enough to tell you that I understand the climate of those times, but what I will tell you is this.......no matter how old and "educated" we are, we can still learn a whole lot from our children.
Peace.
